Help

The short version
Getting started

Do I need an account?

Nope. Open studio.rysics.com and start building. Accounts come later, for publishing.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It is a web page. Chrome, Edge and Firefox all work.

Will it run on my school laptop?

Almost certainly. Rysics is built and tested on a cheap low-power laptop on purpose, so it stays smooth on the kind of machine schools actually buy.

Controls

Moving around

What you wantWhat to press
WalkW A S D, or the arrow keys
JumpSpace
Zoom the cameraScroll wheel
Lock the mouse to the cameraShift
Saving your work

Studio saves your world to a file on your own computer. Keep those files - when publishing opens, they are what you upload.

Save often. Browsers close tabs at the worst moments.

Who can see my game?

When you publish a game, people can play it. They cannot open it up and look at how you built it unless you turn that on yourself.

New games are private inside by default. If you want to share your build so other people can learn from it, that is a switch on your game's page.

Something broke

Rysics is new and things do go wrong. A page reload fixes most of it. If the main site is not working, the backup Studio usually works.

Bug reports get a home when the forum opens. For now, report it on our Discord server.

Still stuck?

The forum is not open yet, so hang tight.

Backup links

If a page will not load, try the site backup or the Studio backup.
